MRS W LEHAJ

My name is Mrs Lehaj and I have been working at Aberbargoed Primary School for 16 years. I first started working as a 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant but for the last 7 years I have been a full time Teaching Assistant in the classroom. I currently work in Class 4 – Year 2.

I enjoy working in a school environment. It can be really rewarding when I see children with help and support from myself and other members of staff reach their full potential.

My name is Mrs White and I’ve worked at Aberbargoed Primary School for 20 years.

I am currently working as a teaching assistant in Class 5 where I work alongside the class teacher. I also love work as a 1 to 1 assistant supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs. I like working at Aberbargoed Primary School. It can be quite challenging but most of the time it’s very rewarding

My hobbies are walking and playing darts but my daughter says I’m no Phil Taylor and I’m more likely to be 180 steps behind than scoring 180 on the oche.

My name is Mrs. Thomas and I’ve worked at Aberbargoed Primary school for 15 years.

I am currently working as a teaching assistant in a Class 6 where I work alongside the class teacher. I also support pupils with Additional Learning Needs. I like working within our school environment. It can be quite challenging but most of the time it’s very rewarding.

I have lots of hobbies including cooking, keeping fit and shopping but members of my family might tell you my favourite hobby would be eating.

My name is Mrs Barber and I have worked at Aberbargoed Primary School for the last 14 years. I currently work as a lunchtime supervisor. I also support children with Additional Learning Needs through the day.

I really enjoy working with children. I find it can be hard work and quite challenging but it is always very rewarding.

My name is Mrs Collis and I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Aberbargoed Primary School for 14 years.

I have worked across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 with children from Nursery to Year 6. I currently work in Class 2 – Reception Class. I also work in the School Breakfast Club.

I am passionate about improving the lives and education of the children in our community, helping to organise the classroom, it’s facilities and resources and using play based activities and the outdoor space to promote a positive learning environment.

My hobbies and interests include volunteering, particularly at the local Boys & Girls Club, countryside walking, gorge walking and all aspects of outside learning and play.

I am Mrs O’Callaghan better known to a lot of the older children as Miss Bodman – my maiden name. I have worked in Aberbargoed Primary School for 12 years. I have worked in all age groups but currently work Class 2 – Reception in the Foundation Phase.

I love working in the school as it is such a rewarding job. I get to help and see the children grow, laugh and learn in every way! I am quite a creative person and love doing creative projects both inside and outside school.

If I have any spare time between looking after my two little girls I love watching football both live and on TV. I support Wales and Cardiff City.

My name is Mrs Hall-Moore and I am employed at Aberbargoed Primary School as a Teaching Assistant and have been at the school for fifteen years.

During this time I have worked with all age groups and I am currently in the Nursery Class supporting children as they take those important first steps in school life and learning.

I also work with colleagues running a successful reading intervention programme between year groups 2 -6 which helps children gain confidence and make progress with their reading.

I enjoy working at the school because the work is rewarding, varied and no two days are ever the same. My hobbies include walking the dog, spending time with my 3 year old grand-daughter and shopping via the TV remote during the evening, after encouraging the rest of the family to have an early night, especially my husband, who, thankfully never checks the bank statements!

MISS L MEEK

My name is Miss Meek. I am Teaching Assistant and have worked at Aberbargoed Primary School for 18 years. I started working here in a Year One class and have since worked in all year groups throughout the school.

I currently work in Nursery and love helping the youngest children in school to settle in and begin their learning journey. I enjoy all aspects of Nursery, but my favourite part is spending time outdoors with the children investigating and exploring the world around us.
